Purple Prose 05:13
"God allowed your birth so that he may watch you suffer." The portrait of another artist, a poet who writes to see his own name on page. Blood red ink scribbles amount to mere purple prose, as far as his monochrome vision goes. "A woke this morning far past the afternoon in my room, a cell with a view. I stare (out) in envy of all those who can reach me, yet choose not to." Excuse my laugh as I wipe off your tears (of a clown). Your words speak tragedy, but my ears hear comedy. You're not a victim, a visionary, an artist. (You're an ass). Please do this for me and ask yourself: "What does God's word mean to a nonbeliever?"

Dead Leaves 05:09
One thousand footsteps amount to nothing on a fixed circular path. Ignoring the dead leaves on the ground, you'll grip and tear them off the branches that need them. Growth requires maturity, maturity requires understanding, understanding requires thought. Think about your actions. Do you ever tire of your rage, or do you rage to feel tired? Do you feel so disadvantaged to justify your hate, or do you hate to feel disadvantaged? Life is not meant for mere existence, It's meant to be lived! Don't be the underachiever, don't settle for less!

On a Pier 07:13
Growing old on a pier, I can't help but stare into the bright shine in the sea's horizon. I always assumed it to be the glare of fire set to a sinking ship, like the many interactions I'm all too familiar with. You offered a different view: The shining of a fresh vessel ready for cruise, one of youth and love. I look into the sky above us and hope the stars are the eyes of angels looking after us, thinking we're their children. "We are sailing for the seas for no other reason than to have you with me. This is not an escapist fantasy, just us living a dream. We are sailing...." Today has been the most perfect day I could of ever asked for.

about

A story of maturity, recorded sporadically between November and December 2019.

This demo has been a long time coming, and I'm rather proud of it overall even if it's rather rough in certain eras. For more (pretentious) rambling, check out the .txt in the download.

Special thank you's are reserved for the following: My family, Bonnie (my one and only), Vivian (Viola), JJ, Tyler, Frank, Mike Z, Jason, Ana, Jackie, Ricky, Mike (from Garden), Big Mike, Mindy, Arely, Jackie, Katrina, Karina, Voodoo Vinyl, The Downsides, Lucretia, Nihilith, Snitch, Crushed?!, In Decline, SiGE, Jason "EViL" Covelli, The Austin Zine Library, Razorcake, Punk Bird, just about anyone else I might've forgotten to include, anyone that listens and reads this, and everyone who had to put up with my bullshit throughout the years.

This is the first flight.
